Protect Ten-Mile Creek

On January 17, 2023, the Montgomery County Council will hold a hearing on a Zoning Text Amendment,  ZTA 22-12, that would exempt the impervious surfaces of master-planned bikeways from being counted toward the impervious limits that protect the Ten Mile Creek watershed. Though having bikeways is appealing it should not require impervious surfaces, and in fact many bikers prefer a narrow, natural path. The main problem with this proposal is it pulls back from the promise to protect Ten Mile Creek. Please learn more then let your voice be heard on January 17. Here's the action alert.
